Wykonywał także litografie ( dla czasopisma "La Revue Blanche"), plakaty reklamowe (France-Champagne 1889) i ilustracje (np. 1900 do tomu poezji Parallèment P. Verlaina). Około 1900 nawiązał do impresjonizmu i zaczął używać czystych, jasnych i ciepłych barw. Uznał kolor za główny środek wypowiedzi, a temat za pretekst do namalowania obrazu. Malował krótkimi, urywanymi pociągnięciami pędzla i zacierał granice między poszczególnymi formami. Używając tylko koloru określał formę postaci czy przedmiotu i ich modelunek. Malował przede wszystkim zmysłowe i delikatne akty kobiece, a także martwe natury i pejzaże. Jego sztuka ma charakter intymny i hedonistyczny. Najbardziej znane obrazy: Akt z lampą (1912), Jadalnia (1913), Akt przed kominkiem (1917), Akt w wannie (1920), Plaża podczas odpływu (1932), Droga biegnąca w górę (1940), Pejzaż prowansalski (1943).
